Rehabilitation

We recognise that like people, no two injuries are the same. We aim to empower and inspire you to reach your goals. Rehabilitation exercises are one of tools we have to help you reduce pain, prevent future episodes of pain and reach your goals sooner.

We use a variety of strategies depending on your individual story. This may include some stretching, stability / control exercises, strengthening or conditioning to allow you to feel your best self. We will be with you every step of the way and tailor a program which is specific to your needs.

We aim to give you exercises you can do at home or you can come in and use our rehabilitation space.

We find this can help with motivation and give you a chance to ask questions about how to best do the exercises with the correct form.

FAQ’s

Will you crack my neck?

No. We understand that “cracking” the neck or other joints can be scary or not your cup of tea so we don’t need to do it. We pride ourselves on being able to tailor a treatment approach which is specific to you. If we believe you have a joint which is stiff there are many ways we can improve its motion and cracking / manipulation is one of various options.

Does it hurt?

No. We understand that you are likely already in pain and thus adding more pain to the equation seems illogical and counterintuitive. Our primary aim within the first few appointments if to get you out of pain so we choose to provide treatments which do this. When giving you exercises we can sometime expect some soreness, however this should settle quickly.

Will I have to see you forever?

No. We strongly believe in empowering and educating our community towards being able to self-manage their pain and injuries. Our goal is to educate you on every phase of your care including discharging you from our care. This gives you confidence to get back to all the activities you love most.

How much does it cost?

We have a variety of treatment options which will depend on the individual. We aim to work with you….

Appointment structure:

Step 1

Initial consultation – 1hr-1hr15min

Tell us your story. We will thoroughly assess your individual health. We will provide a diagnosis, educate you on what you should be doing and provide multi-modal treatment to get you out of pain sooner.

Step 2

Follow-up consultation – 30-45mins

After we have set up your plan we will provide multi-modal treatment. We combine advice, manual therapy and rehabilitation exercise to help reduce pain. This will be progressed over the course of your treatment plan aiming to get you to your goals quickly.

Step 3

DISCHARGE

We believe in discharging people at the end of a treatment plan. We will have educated and empowered you to understand how to prevent pain or injury from reoccurring. We have exercise class options which help you stay on track with your health and movement goals.
