What is Chiropractic?

Chiropractic is an allied health profession which focusses on the assessment, management and education of the neuro-musculoskeletal system. Traditionally Chiropractors have been focussed on the spine and focussed on treatment techniques such as spinal manipulation or adjustments.

At Trident Movement, Chiropractic is much more than this, we aim to blend honest, patient-centred care for conditions of the musculoskeletal system. We realise that for some people Chiropractic may be unknown, scary or even have previous negative experiences.

At Trident Movement we don’t give you a cookie-cutter approach to your health, we are a group of health professionals who are passionate about helping you be pain-free and functioning the best for the long term.

We use a variety of modalities such as education / advice, manual therapy to aid in short-term pain relief and exercise rehabilitation to prevent pain reoccurring. Our Chiropractors can help you with:

  • Back and neck pain
  • Shoulder pain
  • Knee and hip pain
  • Muscle strains
  • Ligament sprains
  • Sports injuries

We strongly believe Chiropractic has a role to play in the healthcare system and love supporting our community with honest, genuine and ethical healthcare.

Step 3

We believe in discharging people at the end of a treatment plan. We will have educated and empowered you to understand how to prevent pain or injury from reoccurring. We have exercise class options which help you stay on track with your health and movement goals.

Will you crack my neck?

No. We understand that “cracking” the neck or other joints can be scary or not your cup of tea so we don’t need to do it. We pride ourselves on being able to tailor a treatment approach which is specific to you. If we believe you have a joint which is stiff there are many ways we can improve its motion and cracking / manipulation is one of various options.

Does it hurt?

No. We understand that you are likely already in pain and thus adding more pain to the equation seems illogical and counterintuitive. Our primary aim within the first few appointments if to get you out of pain so we choose to provide treatments which do this. When giving you exercises we can sometime expect some soreness, however this should settle quickly.

Will I have to see you forever?

No. We strongly believe in empowering and educating our community towards being able to self-manage their pain and injuries. Our goal is to educate you on every phase of your care including discharging you from our care. This gives you confidence to get back to all the activities you love most.

How much does it cost?

We have a variety of treatment options which will depend on the individual. We aim to work with you….
